Should she have to drive him to school, even if she's angry at him?

It's a good rule of thumb to never date your sibling's best friends, especially in high school. If your brother and your best friend start dating, you will start resenting him for stealing your friend away from you, even if that's not what he's doing. It's natural to feel upset that your best friend is spending more time with her boyfriend than she's spending with you, but it doesn't mean that you're in the right. If your brother breaks up with your best friend, you're going to resent him for breaking her heart, which isn't good for your family dynamic. 

At the end of the day, you can't control other people and who they date, and the quicker you can accept that, the happier you will be. It can be frustrating to watch your friends date people who you think aren't right for them, but if you dwell on it, you're going to resent your friend and their partner even more than you already do. 

The dad in this story is in a difficult parenting situation. His son broke up with his sister's best friend over text and blocked her immediately afterward. Now, his daughter is angry at her brother and won't drive him to school anymore. Of course, the son is not wrong for breaking up with his girlfriend. After all, they were only seeing each other for six weeks. The dad told his daughter that shoe doesnt' have to drive him to school, but she needs to be kinder to her brother. Is that fair?
